Shall We Dance?

This song is called "Shall We Dance", made after waking up from one of the clearest (or most clear?) and most chronologically make-sense dream i had about... well. you-know-who. A bit of something that could probably best sung by Syaharani. Another jazzy English thing that is somehow dim, delusionally sober.. a bit of many things happen at one short moment in time, both anticipated and unanticipated. A kind of mix of classic old jazz, Kings of Convenience's "I'd Rather Dance With You", and this song could be a good soundtrack for one scene in my novel "The Seven Sins"...

Shall We Dance?

Even just one dance with you, shall we dance?
Even just one chance with you, shall we dance?
Little lost romance with you; shall we dance?
Little found romance with you; shall we dance?

Never bother promises on your lip
Lovely just to have your hands on my hip
Shouldn't be drawn inside the taste of your lip
Shouldn't let your hands go further than my hip

I know it'll be the night that you will soon forget
The one dance under dimmed out light
It'll take a time or two for me to forget too
The one talk under smokes and lime
As sober as can be, the lives of you and me
Go flashing glaring before out eyes
The dance abort the past, the feeling it should last
Be stored in box of deepest heart

Even just one dance with you, shall we dance?
Even just one chance with you, shall we dance?
Never bother promises on your lip
Lovely just to have your hands on my hip

I know it'll be the night that we will soon forget
The one chance under yellow light
It'll take a walk or two as days are passing through
The sweet cake and the candle light
As happy as can be, the times of you and me
Indifferently silly and wise
The chance to abort the pain, forgiveness said the brain
Be stored in memories deep within
