The Window Song

Yiiihaa!! Here comes “The Window Song”, first song composed in 2012 :) This song basically tells about some random little things that i’ve been doing and observing, and some things that came to mind during that period of observation. Another easy-go-jazzy simple song, something that sounds like (a much regressed version of) Jamie Cullum’s version of “Don’t Stop The Music”, Mayer Hawthorne, and Isaac Hayes' "Never Can Say Goodbye". Could possibly sounds nice if accompanied with a jazz drum with “stick sapu”, bass, and a piano. Aaand here’s the lyric ;)

The Window Song

The old stories have been wild, need to sit for a while to take a rest
I know the earth is freaking vast, then why should i bound in settleness
The reason i write no hometown: can’t seem to find out where i belong
A social life on weekend days, seems too much, too much for me to take

As clock, tick-tock, watching rain on my window pane
I get lost and find myself again
A little cup of a long romance that won’t gain
I get warmed and cold, deserted again
The sun keeps revolving, a light just won’t shine in
Never mind the time, it’ll be just fine

A 9 to 5 in working days, so much fun if you love the job you take
The morning calls and late night chat work like wine and sometimes sleeping pills

As music plays soft and gentle from a videotape
I get lost and find myself again
A little pain, a little gain, little of everything
I get warmed knowing how i love small things
A spark that won’t shine in, the room’s never filled in
Never mind the time, it’ll be just fine
Never mind the time, it’ll be just fine
